a professional association of
the Romanian specialists in radiation protection field;
·
an nonadvocacy, nonprofit and
nongovernmental organization;
·
founded in May 30, 1990;
·
IRPA Associate Society since
1992;
·
Member of the Central European
Association of IRPA Associate Societies since 2000. |

|
RSRP aims to:
|
·
protect population and radiation workers against the harmful effects
of ionizing radiation;
·
develop and make known the scientific, technical, medical and legal
aspects of radiation protection on a nationwide scale;
·
imply the civil society in the
benefit/risk analyses for the ionizing radiation uses. |
|
|
|
RSRP has:
|
·
170 active members from the
whole country on 1-st of January, 2002;
·
a board elected every 2 years,
with a honorary president, an executive president, 3 vice-presidents,
one secretary, 6 members and one treasurer;
·
a library with more than 1800
books and journals in the radiation protection field;
·
financial resources from member’s
annual fees and donations. |
